Ocean Bay Park is filled with college and recently graduated young people. I mean filled. Although there are some long time Fire Islanders that have settled into this town,
for the most part it is the biggest "party at your house-then head to Happy Hour-go home and bar-b-que-then head to Ocean Beach" town on the island.
There is a grocery store, three bar-restaurants, two pizza places, and a bagel shop. Enough amenities to keep any weekender happy. OBP is most widely known for Happy Hour, and fills up at about 7:00 on Saturday Night, and empties out at about 9:30. |

Ocean Bay Park is a very diverse
community with many group houses.
Nightlife is strong at Flynn's which also offers a 50 Boat Marina.
The Inn Between also on the Bay provides similar fair. Ferry service from Bay Shore.
