Crazy Dog
123 Montauk Hwy., Westhampton, NY, 11978, (631) 288-1444
The Crazy Dog seems like a roadside diner - but it's not. The Crazy Dog is in fact, an upscale restaurant whose daylight menu offers modern comfort while the dinner
menu offers dynamic and eclectic items. Morning diners will find items like Thick Cut French Toast Sticks ($6.50) and Egg White Fritatas ($8.50) both reasonably
priced and delicious. The noon hour brings creative salads (like the make-your-own Crazy Dog), Grilled Vegetable Wraps ($8.50) and the Garlic Steamed Shrimp &
Dumpling Basket ($11.95). Chef Rifkin's culinary training and experience plays an integral part in having the likes of Shoshanna Lonstein, Susan Lucci, Alan Grubman
and Marvin Shanken jostling for a booth come evening. Why drive back to the city when you can enjoy a sophisticated menu that boasts Whole Rack of Baby New
Zealand Lamb ($27), Cedar Planked Salmon ($18) and Wok Seared Sesame Crusted Tuna ($23)? Rifkin's wife Nicole November is also his pastry chef. Her Warm
Fallen Chocolate Souffle or Homebaked Apple Caramel Pie with Cinnamon Gelato will test your willpower for resisting desserts. Richard J. Scholem of The New
York Times states that "the hot Crazy Dog is a new wave hybrid of cutting edge cuisine and old favorites."
