The Beacon
8 West Water Street, Sag Harbor, (631) 725-7088
David Lowenberg and Kirk Basnight (proprietors of red/bar brasserie in Southampton) opened this waterfront Sag Harbor restaurant in the summer of '99. The
Beacon features an airy second-floor dining room with scenic views of the harbor and an imaginative menu served up by talented chef Paul LaBue (formerly of Nick &
Toni's). Look for lively salads, the freshest seafood and perfectly grilled rib-eye steaks. Desserts also shine, reflecting LaBue's capacity for creating a memorable
ending to every meal. The Beacon has been hailed by Joanne Starkey of the New York Times as the best restaurant in Sag Harbor, and Peter Gianotti of Newsday
says, "The Beacon will guide you to Sag Harbor . . . it lights up dining out."
